Not A Player(4)
Author: R.C. Stephens

She and Noah head back to their room and say they will meet me downstairs. I am finally able to get out of my clothes, which I’m overheating in. I put on a pair of board shorts and a tank. I also grab some sunscreen and head down to the beach to see my friends. The whole time I’m thinking of Lili in that little blue bikini with her breasts spilling out, and I feel my cock harden. It isn’t weird for me to get a stiffy. I’m young and virile. My right hand is well acquainted with my cock because I haven’t met a girl who is worth my efforts when my life has been so busy with doing well in school and playing for a Division One hockey team. Lili is somehow the exception. She has me feeling off. I can’t explain it, other than I hope to see her again. Soon.

Everything about this place feels like a dream. It’s also very romantic. Most people seem to be on their honeymoon or are here with a romantic partner. Even the restaurant we went to last night had a romantic ambiance with a veranda set up facing the ocean. When everyone wanted to hit up a bar after, I was exhausted from my lack of a good sleep on my flight, so I hit the sack early. Today I woke up at the ass crack of dawn and took a run on the beach. It’s hard to run in sand but it was a damn good workout.

Now I’m hanging on the beach with my friends. Rebel and Wolfe have little Liam under a cabana to keep him away from the sun. Coach Darren and Blossom have little Finn on a blanket in the sand under the cabana too. The two little babies are watching each other. Liam is crawling around and it’s adorable. Max and CC are building sandcastles in the shade.

This vacation has been a dream except for the fact I’m the only one here without a plus one, which makes me the odd one out. My friends have been coming and going to and from their hotel rooms throughout the day. Cole and Holland brought Mary, their nanny, with them so she could watch CC and Max, who are sharing their own room which is connected to Paris and Ryse’s room. All my friends are practically married. I’ve never really cared before, but suddenly I feel like maybe it would be nice to have someone in my life. I’ve spent all my time working hard, playing hockey, and doing well in school. Plus, when I was younger my asthma was an issue. I never made time to have a girlfriend, and now it feels like it’s something missing from my life.

I’m sitting back in my lounge chair. The warmth of the sun makes me feel relaxed, and it’s nice to have time to just ponder.

“We should go out dancing tonight,” Declan says, pulling me from my thoughts. “There are some really nice bars along the beach and some of them have a dance floor.”

“I’m up for that,” Noah says.

My brother looks my way.

“I’m good,” I decline.

No way do I want to go out dancing with a bunch of couples.

“Dude, you did not come all the way to Hawaii to sit in your room,” Declan states.

“He’s right,” Noah cuts in. “You need to get out and have fun.”

“He’s right,” Cole agrees.

“What is this? Gang up on me day?” I say, laughing and shaking my head. I apply some spray sunscreen to my chest and abs since I don’t want to burn.

“Bro, you’re going out tonight and I don’t just mean for dinner. There’s a nice place Pops and I saw up the beach. Looks like a good time,” Dec says.

“Fine. I’ll go out. It’s funny, but I still feel like I have so much work and training to do. My mind didn’t get the memo I’m on vacation,” I say.

“That’s exactly why you need to let loose. Working all the time isn’t healthy,” my brother chimes in.

I cock my brow because he’s one to talk. Pretty sure I got my work ethic from him.

“Seriously, Bro. There’s time to be serious and time to have fun,” Declan scolds. I know he has a point because lately I’ve been thinking how I’m almost done with my post-secondary career and I haven’t had real fun yet.

“Aren’t we doing bachelor and bachelorette parties?” I ask him.

He shakes his head. “We figured since most of us are couples we’d have a night out together.”

I nod. “Cool.”

“There you are,” Poppy says to Declan. The girls were taking a walk down the beach and now they are back. She sits at the end of Declan’s chair.

Paris, Cait, and Holland all lie back in their lounge chairs too.

I’ve never felt weird hanging around these guys before. Mostly it’s been back at Westfall in someone’s house or over the holidays, and it was always very chill. This beach vacation is giving off different vibes. Something about being here is romantic and sexy and not for a single dude who also happens to be a virgin. I begin to chide myself for not taking the plunge a long time ago. I’ve had my share of offers, but bedding some girl I didn’t care about never intrigued me, and none of them really tried to get to know me.

I get up and head into the ocean because my body is heating up and I need to cool down. I walk into the water slowly. I’m not too keen on going too deep because of the sharks. I swim some diagonal laps. I keep my eyes shut because the water is salty, but I come up for air a lot and open them to make sure I’m not swimming into anyone. I do that for about a half mile and when I turn back, I decide to backstroke. I’m happily going on my way when I hear.

“Ow! Watch it,” the girl sounds pissed.

I lose my rhythm and slip underwater but when I stabilize myself, I stand to full height and turn to apologize. “Sorry I. . .”

“It’s you again,” Lili snarls, lips curled. Long wet hair falls in strands over her shoulder. She’s wearing a red bikini. It isn’t as skimpy as the blue one she was wearing in her room yesterday, but it still gives her major cleavage. That, along with the water rivulets on her tan skin, is getting me hard, even in this cool water.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to knock into you,” I apologize, raking my fingers through my hair to get it out of my eyes. Standing to full height, the water reaches just above my waist. Lili’s dark eyes sweep from my face down to my shoulders and my pecs and then back up. She swallows and it looks like something inside her softens, but then that guard is back up when she looks me in the eyes.

“It’s fine.” She turns away from me.

“How has your trip been?” I ask, calling after her.

I watch Alessa as her eyes widen and I can tell they are communicating via their eyes. I’m pretty sure Alessa is urging her sister not to bite because she seems to be on the attack more than the sharks in this water.

She turns back to me. “It’s been nice.” Her voice doesn’t sound irritated either, which I take as a win.

“Good,” I respond. “This is my first vacation. I’m kind of learning what to do. It doesn’t feel natural to me.”

“What? You’ve never been on vacation before?” Lili asks with shock dripping from her tone.

“Lili, come on,” Alessa says, trying to soften her sister’s rough edges.

“Sorry. That was rude of me. How is it you’ve never been on vacation?” she asks this time with a more cordial tone.

“I grew up with a single mom, who didn’t have much money. I’m in college on scholarship,” I explain.
