Not A Player(3)
Author: R.C. Stephens

“I see you made some friends,” Declan laughs.

“More like an enemy.” I roll my eyes and grin.

“Come on,” Declan says. “I rented a car. Poppy is back at the hotel with everyone else.”

We drive toward the hotel. The air is sweet and warm. Declan rented a convertible Jeep and it’s pretty cool.

“Thanks for heading home for me,” my brother says as we pull away from the airport.

“No biggie.”

“We both know it isn’t easy going back there. I appreciate you going. Did you get through to her?” he asks of Mom.

“Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe. I left her the ticket. I guess we’ll see if she shows.”

“Thanks for trying,” he sighs, getting on a freeway.

“You’ve got me to walk you down the aisle,” I remind him.

“Thanks, Bro. I’m grateful for that.”

We head to the hotel and Declan comes to the front desk to check me in. “I feel bad you’re paying for my whole trip.”

“Don’t even go there,” he warns me because that is my brother, generous to the bone.

After I check in, Declan and I part so I can go to my room and get out of my winter clothes, since all our friends are hanging at the beach. I head over to the elevator with my suitcase and bump into the sisters.

“Fancy meeting you here,” Alessa says because she is clearly the friendly sister.

Lili rolls her eyes at me.

“Nice to see you too, Lili,” I joke.

That buys me a laugh from Alessa, and I smile too because Lili really is a sight. Not that I like to laugh when people are hurting, it’s just Lili’s attitude is so in your face, and it helps she is also drop-dead gorgeous.

The elevator arrives and I extend my hand for them to go first. They each get on the elevator, and they press the number four. “What floor do you need?” Alessa asks me.

“I’m on four too,” I reply. What are the chances?

Lili blows out an annoyed breath. I motion for the ladies to get off first and then I check the sign on the wall to see which way room 412 is. I go right and the ladies go left.

I enter my room and my eyes widen at the sight of the ocean. The balcony door is slightly open and I have a crazy ocean view. My brother is too damn generous. I also have a huge king-size bed. I head to the bathroom, which has a large shower and tub. Man, am I living it up now.

I head back to the room and open my suitcase on the bed, only it isn’t my suitcase. There are a bunch of thong underwear and bikinis. What the fu. . .

There’s a knock on my door. I go to open it and Noah is standing in front of me.

“Hey, bro. We’re on the same floor. Declan just gave me your room number. I came up to get the sunscreen for Cait,” he says, holding a bottle of sunscreen in his hand.

“Nice,” I reply, and his eyes look past me and his brows furrow.

“That isn’t my stuff,” I assure.

“Dude, that’s not any of my business,” he says, trying to hold back laughter.

“You idiot. I must have taken the wrong luggage at the airport. I have the exact suitcase. Dammit,” I curse, running fingers through my hair. This trip has definitely got off to a rocky start.

“I can loan you a pair of board shorts or there’s a little shop downstairs in the lobby,” Noah offers.

I walk over to the suitcase. “This can’t be happening. First, I have the shittiest flight. I had this moody girl sitting next to me and she complained the whole time,” I begin to tell Noah as I check the suitcase for a label or a name. I find a name tag that says Alessandra Liliana. “WTF?”

“What?” Noah asks, stepping into my room.

“I know who has my bag,” I say.

“You do?” he asks, clearly confused. I close the suitcase and zip it back up.

“You need to come with me. This chick wants my head on a platter,” I say to him.

We leave my room with the suitcase and walk to the other side of the hall. As we pass the elevator, I see Cait.

She gives me a hug and kiss and asks what’s going on. Noah explains I have a bunch of female underwear in my suitcase.

“You both need to come with me. This girl is prickly,” I warn.

I notice Cait is wearing a sundress and her prosthetic isn’t covered. It makes me happy to see her with Noah. They make each other happy, and Cait’s self-esteem is so much better now than it used to be.

I knock on the hotel room door that I’m pretty sure I saw the sisters enter. It’s Lili who opens the door.

“Oh, it’s you,” she says dryly.

I look over to Cait and Noah, giving them an I told you so look. Lili is now wearing a blue bikini. The triangle shaped top doesn’t do much to cover her full breasts. She has a skirt wrapped around her bottom. My eyes rake up and down her body and saliva pools in my mouth, which is weird because we don’t have a lack of beautiful women back at Westfall, but none of them make me feel this stirred up.

I lick my lips. “I think our suitcases got mixed up. I’m pretty sure this is yours; the tag says Alessandra Liliana.”

Alessa walks over to the door. “I told you it was stupid not to put our last name,” she chides her sister.

“You perv. Did you look inside my suitcase?” Lili says, reaching out to take it from me.

I scrunch my nose. “I only opened it because I thought it was mine.”

“Yeah, right,” she scoffs.

“Whatever. Do you have my suitcase?” I ask.

Alessa rolls my suitcase to the door. “There you go, Logan Russo,” she says.

Lili rolls her eyes.

“Did you look in my suitcase?” I ask Lili because for some reason I like irritating her.

“Did you have to bring your friends along to exchange a suitcase?” she replies.

“Sorry, where are my manners,” I say to her.

“This is Noah and Cait,” I announce to Lili and Alessa.

“This is Lili and her sister, Alessa,” I say to Noah and Cait.

Noah and Cait shake their hands and tell them it was a pleasure to meet them.

“I assumed you came to Hawaii by yourself,” Lili says to me.

“My brother is getting married. All our friends are here,” I explain.

“That’s so nice,” Alessa says, smiling.

“Okay, well. You have your suitcase now, and I need to change out of this horrific bathing suit since it clearly doesn’t belong to me,” Lili complains.

She must be wearing her sister’s bikini and her sister is super thin with small breasts. The bikini is barely containing Lili’s curves.

“Sure. Enjoy the rest of your trip,” I say to them.

“You too, Logan. Maybe we’ll see you around,” Alessa says.

Lili swings the door shut.

I turn back to Cait and Noah, grinning.

“What was that?” Cait asks me.

“I don’t know. The girl hates my guts, and she doesn’t know me,” I explain.

“I’d bet that girl is hot for you and wants to rip your clothes off,” Noah counters.

“Nah, bro. You had to see her on the plane. She couldn’t get away from me fast enough,” I say.

“I’m betting on Noah’s angle,” Cait replies.
