SSS : Year Five(11)
Author: Avery Song

"You can say that if questioned about it from those who know nothing about your demigod fate, but it's a gift. Throughout the next four years, you'll discover more about yourself. Same with your boyfriends."

"Will they be able to discover their gifts easily?"

"I can't really say, Nya," she admitted and tapped her finger against her lips. "They have to work on themselves and unlock their own unique qualities pertaining to their supernatural traits."

"You mean like how Yuriel's trying to unlock Angel's Glory?" I inquired.

"Exactly that," Mitten replied.

"Does that mean you're a demigod, Mitten?" My voice was low just in case it was supposed to be kept secret.

"Nah, Nya." She smiled. "Daichi is, though."

"Does that mean demigods are somewhat immortal?" I pondered the idea.

"They're harder to kill," Mitten replied. "It also means that when they die, they just return to their godly forms, which is a bit of a blessing."

She went through the pages of my documents one last time as I waited for her to fill in the final paperwork to give to the council to prove I was okay.

"Do you ever worry you won't keep up with Daichi?" I randomly asked. In my case, all five of my men were demigods. I wouldn't have to worry about the significant differences between us, not like it stopped me from loving them.

Or stop them from loving me.

"Sometimes," she quietly admitted, but kept a smile on her face as she looked back at me. "But I have nine lives. That's something he doesn't have. Well...hmm. I technically have eight, but that's between us." She winked and clipped the report to her clipboard. "I'm gonna go print out the final report. I'll send Yuriel in here since, if he's anything like Daichi, he'll be pacing through the halls in worry."

"Thanks, Mitten," I whispered with an appreciative smile.

"Anytime, Nya!" She was out after a minute, leaving me to look around the medical room. I wondered how the Sky Division would differ in terms of its appearance. Would it still give the common school vibes or be significantly different? Like a regular school versus a private or elite school.

"How'd it go?"

I lowered my head to see Yuriel. He was wearing all black today, with his shirt having a graffiti design in front. His long strands were up in a ponytail with a black ribbon keeping it up.

His worry was rather obvious, and I couldn't help but ask, "Were you pacing up and down the hall?"

He frowned at my question, which gave him away and proved it was a habit for the angel brothers. "Mitten told me." I winked and lifted my arms up. "Come here."

He did as I asked and was in my arms the next second. He kissed my neck and took a deep inhale of my scent as he held me tightly.

"I miss hugs," he whispered. "Plus, you smell extra nice today."

"Just say you missed me." I laughed. "Plus, you never try to smell me when I'm all sweaty, now do you?"

"That's the stalker's job," he mumbled. "I'm sure you'd smell just as nice."

"Liar," I giggled. "I'd smell like sweaty running shoes, and you mean Zephyr's?"

"Same person," he grumbled in annoyance.

"Still hating, huh?" I hummed and pulled back to look into his eyes. "Hey, my sexy angel."

He blushed before his eyes softened and he leaned in to kiss me gently on my lips.

"Hey, sweet Blossom," he replied, using my nickname to emphasize his love for me. I knew he was anxiously waiting for what I had to say, and I wouldn't leave him hanging.

"I'm okay," I revealed in a hushed voice. It was as if I didn't want to jinx it or something.

"Everything came back normal?"

"Everything’s normal," I emphasized. "And I'm not pregnant."

"Why would you think you're pregnant?" he inquired. "I thought witches can tell if they are?"

"They can," I replied. "When I was fighting Nikko, she thought I was pregnant. It was a trick Mitten left behind so I knew Nikko was bullshitting me."

"Ah," he replied, looking completely relieved by the news. "Do you want kids now?"

"No," I admitted. "Is it important to me? Yes. But now that we're doing four more years of school, I think the timing would be horrible."

"True," he replied. "Plus, supernaturals can have children at any age."

"Wait, they can?" I didn't know that.

"Mhmm." Yuriel nodded. "It obviously depends on the specific supernatural you are, but once you hit your thirties you begin to slow down in the aging process. Not to mention there are plenty of magic potions and spells to aid supernaturals in the child department."

I lowered my head for a moment to think about it, wondering what Star would be like as our child.

Would she look more like me or Dimitri? Would she act like him or me? In fact, would the guys be okay with her being my first child? How many kids would I even want?

"Silver."

Yuriel lifted my chin up so I had no choice but to look at him.

"You don't need to worry about the details for now," he reminded.

"Right," I replied, but still felt a little discouraged. "Yuriel?"

"Yes, Blossom," he whispered and ended up pulling me into a hug. "What's wrong?"

"I feel horrible that Star's done so much, and I still can't do anything to give her some sort of life," I mumbled into his shoulder. "To give her some sort of form...so she can see the world instead of being in some dark space during the times she's not in her familiar form."

"We can look into it," Yuriel suggested as he rubbed my back. "It's not like there's no way to do it. We haven't necessarily taken the steps to find out for sure, right?"

"True," I mumbled. "She's the reason Uzziah didn't die."

"I know," he replied. "She's a pure gift. I'm sure with time, we'll find a way."

"What if it leads to dead ends?"

"Then we'll just have to make a path without one."

I leaned back to look into his comforting expression, and he kissed my nose. "If there's no other option, then maybe it'll be best for you to give birth to her first."

"Wouldn't you guys be upset?" I inquired.

It was such an odd topic to discuss after we'd almost perished from the exams and dealt with all the heavy topics as of late.

"Why? Just because you and Dimitri decide to have Star first?" He unraveled me from his hold to place his hands on my cheeks. "Star deserves a chance at life. None of us would dare get upset over that. As your child and familiar, she brings joy to your life. And as long as you're happy, that's all that matters to us."

I smiled at his words and he kissed my forehead.

"No matter who the father is, a child of yours is a child of ours. We'll raise Star and any other child created by you with just as much love and affection. Don't worry about the little things," he assured me.

"Okay," I replied, and followed with, "What if Uzziah was second?"
