Hard for You (Poison Wolves MC Book 1)(4)
Author: Sam Crescent

There was only one woman he wanted to speak to.

The bar emptied, and it was a good thirty minutes before Amelia stepped out of the bar. She didn’t have her dogs with her. That was a surprise.

Amelia took a couple of steps toward him, but he could tell she hadn’t really seen him. The moment she did, she hesitated, almost stumbling over her feet.

Was she uncoordinated as well?

“Wolfe,” she said.

“Amelia.”

It was hot, and she was fucking sexy.

She wore a pair of jeans that served to drive him crazy by enhancing her sexy-as-fuck curves. The jeans molded to her like a second skin, curving in at the waist. The top she wore showed off her large tits, the v-neck seeming to emphasize her full cleavage.

“Is there something you wanted? I can promise you I had nothing to do with the hunters or the beta team,” she said, nibbling on her lip.

“Oh, I know. I seem to recall the beta team wanting to have nothing to do with you.”

She chuckled. “Yeah, that’s about right.” She offered him a smile. “Phew. I thought I was in trouble.”

“Nah, I figured I’d walk you home.”

“You did?” Her gaze went wide.

“Yeah, do you not want me to?”

“Oh, I do. It’s fine. I guess I’m not used to someone waiting for me to take me home.”

“Apart from your dogs?”

“Apart from my dogs. It’s so hot, and well, sometimes the pack isn’t quite … my dogs are very protective.”

Wolfe tensed up. “Has the pack threatened you?”

“What? No. Of course not.” He had a feeling she was lying to him.

“The pack are just not as tolerant as perhaps I would like, that’s all. Buster and Rascal have been through enough. I have to work, and I don’t always have the option of keeping an eye on them.” She shrugged.

“You’re scared for them?”

“Oh, no.”

He knew she was lying.

The pack saw her as an outcast, and it wasn’t any secret that none of the pack seemed to like her dogs. That didn’t mean any of them had a right to hurt them.

“I will make sure your dogs are safe,” Wolfe said.

And not because he had come to enjoy seeing Buster and Rascal. They were loyal to Amelia, and he found that brought him a sense of peace.

Amelia didn’t have a clue how to be cool.

How to be natural around Wolfe. This was Wolfe. One of the scariest and sexiest men she had ever known. The pack was all she had ever known, but none of the men had quite made her feel the way Wolfe did.

His commanding presence. The way he looked at her.

His long hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and he looked like sex and sin. He was who she imagined fucking for the first time. Wolfe tearing through her virginity, staking his claim, and making her take all of his cock. In her mind, Wolfe wasn’t sweet or kind.

He was dirty. Controlling. He took what he wanted and gave with equal measure.

Amelia gritted her teeth.

She was already the pack outcast. She also didn’t need to be the woman that got aroused for no good reason. “I er, I don’t live too far,” she said.

The apartment she rented was near the forest, pretty much on the border. It was a small place that no one wanted. She had tried to rent a place in town as there were several To Rent signs, but she hadn’t been allowed any of them.

If it hadn’t been the Poison Wolves MC, specifically Boyan, who’d been there that day when Bob the realtor had tried to convince her to leave as there was nothing for her, she wouldn’t have gotten this apartment.

They hadn’t been able to cast her out even though the pack had hoped to push her out.

She had gotten the shittiest apartment on their books. It was something. She had given Boyan a care package as a thank-you.

The apartment had damp and mold, and a few other little visitors, but Amelia was not one to be deterred. She had spruced the place up. Learned to construct furniture, completely gut the place, decorate, and now, the apartment was as good as new.

The furry little rats were also gone, as well as some bugs that she didn’t want to think about. Her apartment was home. Not far from the bar, and furthest away from town.

Wolfe climbed off his bike and started to push it beside her.

“Isn’t that heavy?” she asked.

“Nah, it’s fine.” He didn’t even seem to be out of breath. This man was a machine. All of the MC were. The Poison Wolves MC only allowed for the best, the strongest to be part of their club. There were no women though.

The club had groupies, women who threw themselves at them for the right to be tagged, or whatever else it was they were hoping for.

“Did you, er, did you like the food?” she asked.

The diner hadn’t responded to her call. When someone had picked up, she had asked for food, and they immediately hung up. They didn’t want to know. She had no choice but to rush to her place, grab her leftovers, and quickly return to the bar.

Val wouldn’t be too pissed.

When one of the MC wanted something, she was to make sure they got it. Val had told her the club would take care of the bar if they wanted her to get something, and they had.

Still, it was a risk giving him her food. Being a vegan and all that.

“It was … fine.”

“Honestly?”

“Yeah, honestly. I was hungry, and it filled a gap.”

She wanted to fist pump the air, but she kept that to herself.

This was good. He liked her food. The club had to put up with a lot. She knew that. Especially when it came to her. The pack seemed pretty determined to get rid of her and was willing to do whatever it took to remove her.

The Poison Wolves MC seemed to have her back.

“The diner didn’t answer you, did they?” Wolfe asked.

“I, er, I didn’t want to disturb them.”

“Amelia?”

“They don’t like me. In case you didn’t know, a lot of people don’t like me. I’m the pack outcast. I’ll be surprised if they don’t use my name to spook their kids in many years to come.” She shrugged. “This is me.”

It was a ten-minute walk from the bar to her home. Less than that if she speed walked, which was what she did to get Wolfe some food. The man had looked half possessed, and she saw the dark amber of his eyes, which meant his wolf was close to unleashing.

Not good.

“So, er, thank you,” she said.

Did she want him to leave? “I have coffee.”

“Creamer?”

“Kind of,” she said. “We do have an alternative.” One she had to purchase off the internet. Actually, she had to do most of her food shopping on the internet as the grocery store refused to stock her food.

Not a problem. Other than a few special alternatives, she mostly ate grains and vegetables, which she got at the grocery store.

“You don’t have to. I totally understand if—”

“Coffee sounds great,” Wolfe said.

“Oh, great, of course.” She rushed to her front door and typed in the key code. Again, another little added security she added herself.

She hadn’t gotten the best scores in high school, and some people might even say she was a bit stupid, but so far, she’d been able to fend for herself. She had all the resources, but she didn’t exactly test well.
