Hard for You (Poison Wolves MC Book 1)(3)
Author: Sam Crescent

She remembered fighting the tears.

He left, and the next time she saw him, he had told the pack she wasn’t leaving. They had to learn to put up with her because she was pack, she was family.

It was only a little later she learned it was her parents who had wanted her gone. They’d started rallying the pack to remove her as they saw her as an embarrassment.

No one approached the three men. They all moved toward the bar.

She tensed up.

All gazes were on them.

“A beer,” Alpha said.

She knew what they liked.

After grabbing three bottles from the fridge, she popped the lids off and placed them, one by one, in front of the men who protected them.

Alpha was practically vibrating. Something bad had gone down.

Amelia stepped away from the bar.

“I want food,” Wolfe said, drawing her attention.

“Oh, er, we don’t really serve—” She didn’t get to finish as he slammed his hand down on the counter.

“Get me some fucking food.”

There were times she had a crush on Wolfe. He was tall, muscular, and the jacket he wore often looked like it was too small to contain his body because of how thick and hard he was.

Being the outcast, Amelia had never had sex. At twenty-five years old, she was still a virgin. Even with him being a giant dick to her, she would have no problem shedding that little title with Wolfe. No problem at all.

Chapter Two

The Poison Bar never served food. It was a rule of Val’s. The best you were going to get was an assortment of nuts. That was it.

Wolfe was hungry. And he was being a dick.

Waiting for the humans to fucking leave had been a pain in the ass. There were many things in this world that he didn’t like, and going hungry was one of them. He needed food and nourishment, otherwise, he was a pain in the ass.

Amelia scurried off. She disappeared out back, and he knew she was probably going to grab him some food. He didn’t care what it was, just so long as he had some food.

No one would approach the bar. Not yet.

Alpha was giving off all those vibes that made the pack a little nervous. It was rare for Alpha to be this pissed.

Draco wasn’t saying anything, but then, he never did. Not unless he had to. He had long stopped making small talk. No one could get him to talk if he didn’t want to, but the club could.

Sipping at his beer, Wolfe felt his stomach gurgle. The anger was growing with every passing second of hunger. He needed food.

None of them spoke. The bar was getting nervous.

Alpha always got pissed off when the second level of security fucked up. Their mistakes sometimes cost them lives, and it wasn’t good. He couldn’t stand incompetence.

Wolfe had just swallowed his last gulp of beer when Amelia suddenly returned, and this time, she carried a large platter filled with food. “Here you go,” she said.

This wasn’t food from the diner.

She placed the food in front of him and stepped back, grabbing his empty beer bottle and then throwing it into the recycle trash can.

The food was cold. Potato salad, pasta salad. Some pastries and pizza pocket things. The scents were nice as well.

Amelia left the bar, and Wolfe knew, he just knew that she’d gotten the food from her own place. She had served him vegan food.

“You better eat it,” Alpha said, smirking.

He’d never eaten vegan food before, but his hunger wasn’t going to judge.

Picking up the fork she had also supplied, he pierced a cold, dressed potato and stuffed it in his mouth. Much to his surprise, it wasn’t awful. No, the damn thing was tasty. What was more, it made his mouth water. He tried the pasta salad, which was so fucking spicy, it surprised him. He couldn’t control his hunger, and within seconds, he finished off the pasta. She had clearly made this yesterday, or earlier. Was this her food?

After the potatoes were all gone, and the pasta, he started on the pies and pizza pockets. Within about ten minutes, his bad mood had dissipated.

He was full. The food … delicious. And he was surprised.

Amelia served him another beer.

Alpha spun around and looked at the bar.

“Hunters got on our land tonight. One of the beta group decided getting his dick sucked was more important that our security. For the next couple of weeks, I want you to be vigilant. No roaming the forest without a second person with you. Also, I don’t want anyone going into the forest unless they have come to me for permission.” Alpha slammed his bottle on the bar.

He stood.

Wolfe and Draco followed him, leaving the bar.

“You know they’re pissing themselves, right?” Wolfe asked. “There were a couple of men there from the beta team.”

“I know. It’s why I made the announcement.” Alpha moved toward his bike.

None of them needed to use their bikes. They could have all easily run to the bar, or wherever they needed to go, changing into their wolf skin.

Wolfe loved his bike. The purr of the machine. How smooth it was taking the roads. It was like they were meant to be, mated. The fairy tale shit of what humans thought wolves were like.

Mating was a pipe dream. It was rare, and in Draco’s case, fucking painful. Never having a mate was even worse.

“You do realize Amelia served you all vegan food,” Alpha said.

“I know.”

“And?”

“And nothing,” Wolfe said. “I was hungry. Now I’m not. Do you need me back at the clubhouse?”

“Nah, you can go and do whatever shit you need to do. Draco, make sure everyone is at the town hall tomorrow morning. I don’t want to have to repeat myself.”

Alpha had no choice but to make the bar aware of the dangers. Wolves stumbling in the forest for a quick fuck was dangerous.

Alcohol only affected them for a few short hours, and that was if they literally went at it hard. Wolfe had only gotten a little tipsy. He glanced back at the bar, thinking about Amelia.

She had smelled good. She always smelled good, and tonight, she had fed him.

Draco and Alpha started their engines, and Wolfe climbed off his. “I’ll be back at the clubhouse later.”

“You saw some pussy?” Draco asked.

On the few rare occasions that Draco spoke, it still surprised him.

“Fuck off, Draco.”

Alpha laughed.

It wasn’t a natural sound, but slightly forced, almost enraged. He took his role as president and pack alpha seriously. He was damn good at it as well.

Alpha and Draco took off, and he watched them leave, looking back at the bar. He wasn’t going to go inside as he didn’t want any of the women hanging off him. Some of the female pack members were cut chasers. They wanted to fuck as many of the club as possible.

Running his fingers through his hair, he leaned against his bike and waited.

It wasn’t long before they had to start leaving.

Val never allowed them to stay much past twelve. Unless he was feeling generous and money was being spent, he sometimes allowed his bar to stay open until two, never past then. Two in the morning was for special occasions. Also, if he did stay open until two, then it meant there were sacrifices elsewhere. That usually meant the bar closed for a couple of days after.

Several women looked like they wanted to approach him. As did a couple of the beta team, but he ignored them.
