Hard for You (Poison Wolves MC Book 1)(9)
Author: Sam Crescent

From what she knew of the pack, it took years for a lot of men and women to know their wolf. Some never understanding their alternative body. Not her.

It was the first thing she did. She never wanted to fall victim to her wolf, or wake up somewhere not knowing what she did, or who she was with. It was how she’d remained a virgin for so long. A twenty-five-year-old virgin within a wolf pack was completely unheard of. They were highly sexual beings.

Out of the corner of her eye, she watched as Wolfe swallowed a mouthful of beer. Even his neck looked sexy.

What the hell was wrong with her?

“You okay, Amelia?” Val asked.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” She offered her boss a smile, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes.

Leaving the bar, she grabbed her tray and made the rounds of picking up used glasses and empty beer bottles.

Most of the time, the pack members were utter slobs. If she didn’t clean up after a full house like this, the mess would take her hours to clean. None of them used the recycle trash cans she left. Nor did they return the empties to the bar.

A few times, she had to dodge a swinging arm or elbow. The leg was a new one, but it looked like they were trying to show off some elusive dance move. She was not going anywhere near that. It looked fucking dangerous.

All the while she worked, she was aware of Wolfe.

The leather cut commanded respect. The Poison Wolves MC were celebrities in the pack.

Tucking a stray curl around her ear, she made her way back to the bar. At least with no one caring about her existence, she could allow herself the opportunity to look.

A couple of women were eyeing him up. Everyone wanted a piece of Wolfe. Some of them just wanted to be the ones to tame him.

None of the MC had settled down. No mate, no woman. Nothing.

She knew there were a lot of biker groupies. Her mother, at one point, had been one of those biker groupies. This was before she got pregnant with her, and then, of course, settled down with Amelia’s father.

Well, the guy she assumed was her father.

Amelia rarely allowed herself to dwell on her parents. They’d never seen eye to eye on a lot of things. At times, life with them had been complicated as she had constantly felt their disapproval. Neither of them wanted anything to do with her, and she thought it would break her heart, but for the most part, she’d been fine with it. It probably helped that for several years, she heard them talking that by the time she hit maturity, they would have no reason to continue listening to or seeing her nonsense.

She ducked as an elbow came toward her and quickly made her way toward the bar. Val looked like he was angry with her. He wasn’t happy since their little backyard episode. After one glance at Wolfe, for some odd reason, he looked equally pissed.

For the remainder of the night, she continued to serve, collect, and clean. When Val had enough, he made the announcement of last call, which to him meant last drink and then fuck off.

Sometimes, Amelia struggled to make them leave. Not this time. The pack left at a reasonable pace without giving Val any problems. It allowed her to clean up quickly and much to her surprise, she found Wolfe still there, waiting for her at the bar.

“I’ll be opening late tomorrow,” Val said. “Don’t worry about getting in until after eight.”

“After eight?” she asked.

“Yeah, I don’t want to see you until then.” He winked at her and she smiled.

Out of the whole pack, Wolfe and Val were the only two who actually treated her like a … member. Like a human being.

It was nice.

Val held up her bag and jacket, which she took from him, heading outside with Wolfe following behind her.

“You don’t have to walk me home,” she said, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.

“I know. I want to.”

He did.

Amelia pressed her lips together in an effort to contain her excitement.

Wolfe wanted to walk her home. This was insane.

She stepped in beside him as he moved toward his bike, and like the other night, they made their way toward her apartment.

“So, how’s work at the bar?” Wolfe asked.

“It’s good. I like Val.”

He laughed. “It means you’re one of the few people who do.”

“I know, right? Poor Val. He’s not well liked.” She wasn’t going to say that it was nearly as close to people hating her, but on the scale of things, she was the most hated of the two of them.

The whole deer-hunting thing, the veganism thing, the lack-of-violence thing, yeah, it was a lot of things to mount up over the years. She was surprised Alpha hadn’t kicked her out of the pack yet.

“I like him,” Wolfe said. “He’s straight to the point. No messing around with shit. He just tells you like he sees it.”

This made her smile. “He does, and that can be a lot of fun.” She giggled.

“Also, he does serve the best beer.”

“Yeah, that’s the best part of it.” Amelia had no idea what else to say to him.

This was only the second time she’d been alone with him. She wasn’t used to being alone with a man she found so damn attractive. Her hormones were not very helpful. She couldn’t resist taking quick glances toward Wolfe.

What would it feel like to be naked with him? To run in the forest? To feel his body against hers? How would he feel driving inside her?

She saw her apartment up ahead and knew she wasn’t going to get to find out those answers quite yet, if at all.

“This is me,” she said.

“Yeah, it is.”

His voice rolled down her spine.

What would his lips feel like?

“Er, would you like to come back in for some coffee?” she asked.

It was odd that she didn’t want him to leave, like ever.

Wolfe looked at her apartment, then at his bike, and nodded. “Yeah, I’ll come in for some coffee.” He parked his bike and followed her toward her apartment.

The second time in less than a week, she had one of the Poison Wolves MC at her place, and it wasn’t to remove her from the pack. Not that it ever happened. No. Alpha had been to visit her a couple of times, warning her that the pack might be pissed with what she had done.

Alpha had once offered to bring her back to the main clubhouse so the boys could keep an eye on her. She declined.

The pack would be pissed at her, but she doubted anyone would lay a hand on her. They hadn’t. Her isolation had only increased. She was a lone person anyway. Never one to make friends easily.

Once inside her apartment, she hung her bag and jacket up, then made her way into the kitchen to serve them both a coffee.

Wolfe followed her into the small room, his presence seeming to fill the room even more. The scent of him was driving her wild.

She closed her eyes, leaning over the two mugs of steaming coffee, hoping to inhale a different scent that would remove all this pent-up need.

Amelia had never been the kind of person to succumb to the needs of her pussy. That was why she was still a virgin. Her needs could be met by herself and her wild imagination. Always herself.

Clenching her hands into fists, she counted in her head, constantly repeating it, and then she turned to Wolfe. He was even sexier up close, which so wasn’t fair.

“Coffee?” she asked.

“I’d love some.”
