To Capture a Thorn (The Society Book 2)(13)
Author: Sam Crescent

Our coming together wasn’t easy. It wasn’t even willing, but staying together, that was everything to me.

“Morning,” I said, taking a seat beside her. I balanced my own cup of coffee in my hand as I looked out over the garden. Gideon always had a nice place to grow up. I had vague memories of us as boys, running around this patch of grass while our fathers conspired.

Sipping at the hot coffee, I enjoyed the burn of it down my throat.

“This is the life,” I said.

She chuckled. “You had a good sleep.”

“I was dreaming lots of happy thoughts until Gideon woke me up, freaking out like a little girl.”

Sian’s smile slipped. “He told you?”

“There wasn’t much to not tell, if you know what I mean. We tell each other everything.”

“I guess you do.”

“There’s nothing to be ashamed of,” I said.

“Do you mean with Dante or the fact I want to live my life?”

“Both. Don’t get me wrong, I’m jealous. Wish it had been me rather than Dante.”

She tucked her hair behind her ear. I was glad she didn’t say it meant nothing.

“Are you going to ask me to not go?”

“I thought about it. It would be so easy to tell you I don’t want you to leave, and I’m not lying. I don’t want you to leave. How could I? I like you, Sian. This isn’t just about the initiation anymore. It’s about so much more than that.”

“It is?”

“Yes. I want you to be happy, Sian. That’s all I want, for you to be happy.”

She finished her coffee, placing the cup on the ground between her thighs. “I don’t know if I can ever be truly happy, you know? So I’m going to try and make the most of it.”

“Heather wouldn’t want you to be sad.” Not that I was any expert on people’s emotions. I rarely knew Heather. Before Sian, I only knew Heather as the genius student. The poor scholarship student who was wicked intelligent. I didn’t truly see her, nor did I know her.

“You all keep saying that.”

“It’s true. Would you want her to be wasting around if that had happened to you?” I asked.

“Of course not.”

“Then don’t do this to yourself or to Heather. In fact, it damages the memory you have of her, and that’s all you’ve got to live with now. Memories. If this was Heather sitting with me, what would you tell her to do?”

“William, come on, you can’t ask me that. It’s not the same.”

“She’s gone and I get that it hurts, but what would you say to her? Amuse me.”

She released a sigh. “I’d tell her that it wasn’t her fault. That I love her and I wanted her to live out her dream the best way she can.” Tears fell down her cheeks.

I reached out, swiping them away. “You don’t need to feel guilty for wanting to live, Sian. No one would want that.”

“How did you get so smart?” she asked.

“I know what to say from time to time. You want to get out of here?” I asked, glancing around at the sterile perfection.

I liked to mess things up a little bit, and there was far too much neatness going on.

“What do you have in mind?” She wiped at her cheeks again, and I smirked.

“Come on.” I took her hand, leading her out of the garden toward the front where my car was parked.

“Don’t we have to tell anyone where we’re going?”

She was so sweet.

I shook my head. If we started to tell people, they would want to come, and even though that wasn’t a problem, I wanted her all to myself.

It was still early, but rather than head off to Billy’s where I wanted to take her, I drove us toward the shopping mall that was a good hour’s drive from Gideon’s house.

By the time we got there, it was close to lunch. My cell phone was blowing up, but I put the thing to silent. There was no way any of my buddies were interrupting my time with her. I parked the car and climbed out, intending to help Sian out her side, but she was already joining me.

I locked the car and took her hand, leading her through to the main mall.

“I’m starving,” I said.

“I could eat. I went without breakfast.”

“Coffee for breakfast, hard core.”

She giggled. “You’re such a doofus.”

“An adorable one?” I asked, batting my eyelashes.

She shook her head, but I loved the sound of her laugh.

The mall was already busy, and I took her to the food court. I checked over the menus until I came to a place that supplied vegan options. I ordered from the same menu.

“You surprise me,” Sian said while we waited for our order.

“Why?”

“You eating vegan food. It’s … different.”

“I’ll eat anything.” For some reason, I had the image of her pussy in my head. Her legs spread out in front of her, holding the lips of her sex open for me to taste.

My dick went from flaccid to stiff in what felt like a heartbeat.

Putting Sian in front of me in an effort to hide my stiff prick, she leaned back against me. Her ass rubbed against my dick, and I froze.

“Er, William?” she asked.

“Don’t worry about it.”

“You’re hard.”

“Don’t go announcing it to everyone. They’re all going to want a taste of me.”

She threw her head back and laughed.

We moved together as our order served up. Sian, being the darling that she was, put my food on her tray and thanked the waiter. I winked at him as we made our way toward a clear table.

I let her go when we were in privacy.

“So is there a reason you … you know?”

“I love it when you blush.”

“Don’t.”

“I can’t help it. You’re just so cute.”

“Please stop.” She covered her face.

I grabbed a fry and popped it into my mouth with a moan. “So good.” I added some ketchup to my plate. The burger looked interesting. I wasn’t sure if it was trying to be a burger or a giant mushroom.

I watched as Sian picked hers up and took a large bite. The utter rapture on her face made me want to see it as I fed her my cock. My head was going to all kinds of dirty places today.

“I was thinking about how I’d really like to suck on your pussy.”

She’d been drinking and suddenly began to choke.

I rushed to her side, patting her back, hoping she could regain control. A couple of people gave us curious looks, and I just smiled at them, rubbing her back.

“How? What? When?”

“After I told you I’d eat anything.”

“You don’t just blurt that stuff out.”

“Why not? It’s the truth. I’m all about the sharing.” I winked at her. “So, how about it?”

“How about what?”

“You let me lick your pussy.” I really wanted to, and it wasn’t even about getting my own dick sucked. It would be nice, but I refused to pressure Sian any more than she already had been.

“I don’t know how to respond to that.”

“Tell me if you’d like me to do it or not,” I said. “If you want your pussy licked, then give me a big thumbs up. If not, give me a thumbs down.”
