Spiral into Chaos(5)
Author: E.C. Land

I’m nearly seeing red at his tone of voice, but more than that, I’m ready for those fuckers’ blood to coat my hands the way hers did while she told me ‘Goodbye.’

Fuck that.

Nodding to the doctor, I turn and stalk toward the door. They could have very well killed my woman, and I don’t know who it is or where they’re hiding, but I’ll find out. Those bastards want a war. They fucking got one. I’ll kill every last one of them.

CHAPTER FOUR

BANE

Pulling into the courtyard of the clubhouse, my eyes go directly to the spot Demi was shot. The prospects have been working at trying to clean up the blood along with the rain from the storm that rolled in.

With an uneasy feeling, I swing off the back of my bike and stalk toward the entrance into the clubhouse. I don’t bother looking behind me as I know my brothers followed me back to the clubhouse.

I head for the room we hold church and pull up the security feed on the far wall that connects to the system in Ram’s office.

“You good, Bane?” Scorch asks.

“What do you think?” I demand, shooting a glare his way. “Who did you leave at the hospital?”

“Pyro, Toxin, and Bullseye.” He shrugs. “Ghoul and his boys stayed behind as well. I told ‘em to head on out. They don’t need to be mixed up in whatever the fuck happened today.”

“Good,” I mutter, nodding and looking back to the monitors. “Something doesn’t sit right with me about this shooting. I don’t get it.”

“We got a lotta enemies, but no one’s been this ballsy to attempt taking on the club this way,” Scorch growls, also looking at the screens.

“Prez, your right. We got a lot of ‘em, and while we were waiting at the hospital, I accessed these monitors to recap what the fuck happened. Seems when we took out that auction and rescued Stoney’s kid, we pissed off a hell of a lot more men,” Ram says, pulling up the large screen and showing us what he’s found as he points. “See that man right there?”

“What about him?” I give Ram my full attention but keep my focus on the image he’s showing me.

“I had Pooh from the Puerto Rico charter look into this, and he was able to help me out since I didn’t have all my shit with me,” Ram explains and touches the screen. “This man here is the ringleader who gathers all the women and children they want to put up for these fuckin’ auctions.”

“So, he’s not happy and waited months to make a move?” Scorch fumes.

“No,” Ram mutters, shaking his head, and points to another man on the screen. “You see this man? He’s the head honcho for a sex ring and uses these auctions in order to gather what he needs. These two men together want the RBMC shut down here in Elizabeth City because the area is a good base for them to set up shop. Fucked up part is they have the power behind them to make it happen. You hear about a group called the Supreme Masters?”

“Fuck no,” I grumble. “Who the fuck are they?”

“Men and women, we don’t want to fuck with. I did some digging, and it looks like the Devil’s Riot MC are already going up against them as it is,” Ram informs us and shuts the monitors down.

“These fuckers want us out of the way,” I mutter more to myself than anyone as I turn away from the screens and move to my seat at the table. An asinine plan starts to form within my head. “They want this location for the resources it can provide them.”

“We need to figure this shit out,” Scorch snarls, slamming his fist on the table as he takes his seat. “I didn’t just get my fuckin’ family back only to lose them all over again. I’ll be damned if that’s going to happen. I missed ten years ‘cause of the Alcazar bastards.”

I lean forward, pressing my elbows to the edge of the table, and clasp my fingers together. “I got an idea, but it ain’t gonna be easy, and it would take all of us to not only agree on it but to pull it off.”

“What are you thinking?” Frost asks, sitting forward.

“What do we do with a problem?” I quip, smirking.

“Handle it as a club. Take them out, if need be,” Frost answers, quirking a brow.

“Exactly.” I nod and tilt my head to look directly at my Prez. “How do you feel about pulling a Rodric Kesson move?”

“You mean—” he starts, but I interrupt him.

I nod, “Yeah. If Demi pulls through the night, we do it, but you know what it means.”

“I know, and everyone at this table will have to agree to it first,” Scorch says, nodding.

“I’m in,” Ram says without hesitation.

“Same here.” Frost grins, “I already know Pyro’s answer. It’ll be the same as mine.”

The rest of the brothers follow suit. All of them know what we’re talking about. It’s well known within our charter who Rodric Kesson is. We also know the stunt he pulled in keeping Emery alive.

“Right then. We’ll talk to the three brothers at the hospital and confirm. They agree we put this plan together, and we make it happen.” Scorch announces, rapping his knuckles on the table.

I stand and look at him. “I need to get back to the hospital.”

“Yeah, you fuckin’ do,” he smirks. “Emery was pissed you took off and I had to chase after you. But I get what you were doing, and I understand it.”

Nodding, I roll my shoulders and glance around the room. “You sure you’re good with the plan?”

“Bane, as much as I love the club, and the club has always come first, you know this. However, I’m not about to lose my family again. I watched my ol’ lady nearly die. Shit, I thought she was dead for a fuckin’ decade,” Scorch states, planting his hands on his hips and shaking his head. “I don’t want to go through that again. Not when the day our club is shot at is the same damn day she tells me she’s fuckin’ carrying my kid again.”

“No shit?” I blurt, truly happy for him, though my heart aches at the thought of him gaining a life while I might lose Demi’s.

“Yeah, she’d just said the words when the shots happened,” he mutters. “I’d like to be around this time around.”

“I see what you’re saying and agree.” And I do. One hundred percent. I don’t want to go through what he did.

I’ll do whatever it takes to protect Demi if she makes it through and survives. I don’t care if it comes if I have to die doing it.

CHAPTER FIVE

BANE

Everything is set.

With the help of the Puerto Rico Charter and Rodric Kesson, we’ve got all the details worked out for when the time comes. The club unanimously agreed to the plan, and now we’re initiating it two weeks later.

Demi hasn’t regained consciousness, and I’ve spent nearly every minute I can at her side. But tonight, my brothers need me.

Scorch and I are meeting a few men who want to discuss territory and whatnot. Under the ruse, we’ll give in without a fight. It’s not the top dogs, but it’s enough men with the few who they sent.
