Now that I found Todd, I realized I wanted to make that vision into a reality.
“What are you thinking about?” Todd asked.
My Omega didn’t sound the least bit sleepy despite the rough night he had.
“The future,” I answered honestly.
I had no plans of keeping anything from Todd.
Todd twisted in my arms. I relaxed my hold so he could lie on his side and look me in the eye.
“I’ve been thinking about that, too,” Todd said.
I took his hands in mine and squeezed them.
“Does that mean we’re officially together?” Todd asked, smiling.
“We’re more than that. I never had plans to let you go,” I admitted. “I thought I could discover the stalker and once my job’s done, I’d go after you without regrets.”
“You couldn’t wait because I was so irresistible, right?” Todd said.
There he was.
The sassy and opinionated Omega I fell madly in love with.
“Yep. I don’t regret what happened tonight but Todd,” I paused, then rested my hand on his still flat stomach. “We didn’t use protection.”
“Oh? I thought you did that on purpose.” My Omega stole a kiss from my mouth. There was a mischievous look in his eyes. “Silly Alpha. Can’t you tell? I want your babies.”
I looked at Todd solemnly.
“I want you to know that I care about you very much. I love you. If I managed to get you pregnant, I want to do things right. You’re going to be my husband and we’re going to plan our home and future together, every step of the way.”
Was I rushing things?
Those three little words slipped out by accident. We’ve known each other for only a week and yet I knew that I didn’t want to waste any more time playing around.
Todd was born to be my mine and I was made to be his. Destiny pushed us together for a reason.
We started as strangers but I knew right away I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this Omega.
Still, unloading that much information on someone could be overwhelming.
It turned out I didn’t have anything to worry about because Todd kissed me again.
“Guess what? I love you, too. Did you just propose?” Todd asked.
I laughed. “Don’t worry. When the time’s right, I’ll do it properly.”
“Well, you better. You know I like things done in a grand matter.”
“I do.” I kissed my Omega on the cheek. “Now go to sleep. I’ll be here right next to you. I’ll chase all your nightmares away.”

“You look different today, almost like your old self,” Gary remarked that morning.
“It shows, huh?” I asked.
I felt like I was floating on cloud nine. Last night changed everything for Marco and I.
We were like lovestruck teenagers who couldn’t get enough of each other. Before going to the studio, I lured Marco into the shower. Unable to repel my charms, he fucked me good and nice.
I always rolled my eyes whenever I saw my mated cousins. They were completely obsessed with their mates.
I used to think they were ridiculous but having found my mate, I understood them a little better.
Gina, my make-up artist, finished working on me. I gave her a thumbs-up sign, then exited the dressing room.
My Alpha was standing right outside. I gave him a wink. Marco nodded. He didn’t smile but I knew he was just being alert and focused on his job.
I joined the other actors on set. I was in such a great mood, I nearly forgot I had stalker.
Time flew by quickly. Several scenes later, Marco and I left the studio. We had lunch at a recently opened Mexican restaurant nearby.
I also felt good to get some fresh air. We stopped at my favorite bakery for chocolate donuts, which we ate on the way back.
“Any new gifts from Randy today?” I had to ask.
He shook his head. “Not one.”
I frowned, finishing my donut. “That’s odd, isn’t it?”
“It is. He sends gifts daily.” Marco paused. “Let me worry about him. Focus on the job you love.”
That right there was one of the things I loved about my Alpha. Marco saw me and understood me better than anyone.
Some of my cousins thought I pursued this career path for fame and attention. That was partly true, but Marco knew right away I was in love with my craft.
“Marco,” I began. “About what we talked about last night.”
“Yeah?”
“What if I do get pregnant? Would you want me to stop working?”
That thought had been nagging at me since we left the apartment for the studio that morning.
“I support whatever you want to do,” Marco said. “I can’t take you away from what you love.”
I blinked. I really should’ve expected that answer from my thoughtful Alpha.
Most traditional Alphas preferred their Omegas to remain at home and care for their kids.
I was raised in a non-conventional family. My Pa, my Omega dad usually ran circles around my Alpha dad.
“My Pa once told Aaron and me that he pitied our future Alpha partners because we’re both hard to handle,” I told Marco. I pondered on what he said. “If we do have kids, I’ll take a little break from acting. I want to watch them grow up.”
Marco smiled and reached for my hand. He squeezed by fingers.
“We’ll work something out. We can take turns. While you’re working, I can look after them and vice versa,” he said.
“Sounds like a good arrangement.” I couldn’t ask for a better mate.
After finishing off our desserts, we returned to the studio. I needed a costume change. I was about to enter my dressing room but Marco used his big body to block me.
I was about to ask him what happened, but I noticed he was frowning. I looked over his shoulder.
“What are you doing inside Todd’s dressing room?” Marco asked in a tight voice.
I blinked, seeing Daniel inside. What was even more curious was the fact he was holding onto a vase of wilted black roses.
The make-up artist could be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I didn’t miss the lavender envelope poking from his left jacket pocket.
I barely interacted with Daniel because he was usually assigned to work on the the female actresses.
My heart thudded violently.
Could Daniel be my stalker?
Someone groaned. I gasped, only seeing Gary on the ground. Blood trickled from a cut on his forehead.
Daniel set the vase down on the table and spun to face us. The other Omega looked like a rat caught in a trap.
My mind worked furiously to connect the dots. Gary must’ve gotten in Daniel’s way. Gary then got hurt in the process.
“You weren’t supposed to return until much later,” Daniel said.
The Omega checked his watch then glared daggers at my Alpha. Marco stood his ground, not saying or doing anything yet.
I understood the reasons for Marco’s actions. Neither of us knew how Daniel would react and we both understood how unhinged Daniel was through his letters.
I tried to recall everything I knew about Daniel. He slept with almost everyone at the studio and he wasn’t well-liked.
The female actresses always complained Daniel was the most difficult make-up artist to work with.
