Alpha Protect(7)
Author: Sue Brown

It seemed an eternity before Mark was fully sheathed inside him, his fuzzy thighs pressed against Walker's ass, and Walker was fuller than he'd ever been before.

Mark stroked Walker's hair. "Are you all right?"

Walker licked his lips. "I'm not sure," he admitted honestly.

Concern flashed in Mark's eyes. "Do you want me to pull out?"

"No!" Walker grabbed onto Mark's arms before he could move. "Stay where you are. I just need a moment."

"Take as long as you like," Mark soothed.

He stayed still, and Walker felt the intensity ease. He wasn't sure if it was in his head or his ass, or both. Mark shifted to get more comfortable. Sparks shot through Walker's body and he groaned.

Mark smiled at him, his expression warm, not mocking him for his open pleasure. "Found your sweet spot, huh?"

Walker held onto him tightly. "Again."

Mark moved and once again, pleasure spread through him.

"You've gotta move, Mark," Walker begged.

He needed more of this.

"Hold the headboard again," Mark instructed.

Walker did as he was told, his fingers curling around the struts. Mark smoothed a hand down Walker's torso and curled it around his cock which had gone limp as Walker handled the intensity of his emotions. Just the feel of Mark's warm palm around his dick was enough for it to harden in anticipation. Mark pulled back, making Walker gasp. Then he pushed in again. He repeated the motion.

Walker moaned and held onto the headboard tightly, his biceps bulging. "I lied. You're gonna break me apart."

"I'll put you back together again," Mark murmured.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

Walker knew he meant it; knew he could trust Mark with his life.

"Then break me apart," he ground out.

Mark bent over him and kissed him fiercely. "Hold on for the ride."

Walker closed his eyes and held on as ordered as Mark rode him hard. Sweat ran down his temples and down his sternum. He felt his second orgasm waiting in the pit of his lower back. His mouth was dry, his balls drawn up tight in anticipation. He held on, not wanting to come until Mark was ready.

Then Mark gasped. "Come."

The one word was enough to send him spurting over his belly.

Above him, Mark yelled and pushed deep inside him. His arms gave way and he collapsed on Walker who wrapped his arms around him. They were a mess of sweat and come, and maybe blood. Walker was sure he'd bitten his lip at one point.

"Gimme a minute," Mark muttered.

Walker held him closer. "Stay where you are."

"We've got to clean up. I’m heavy."

"Later," Walker insisted, reveling in the sensation of being sated and sticky. He didn’t want Mark to go anywhere. He was solid enough to hold his man.

Mark snored his agreement.

Chapter 4

The first thing Walker was aware of was someone shouting his name and secondly the ache in his ass.

"Josiah Walker?"

Walker opened his eyes. Two men pointed guns at him.

Fear slammed through him, only releasing its grip a fraction when he realized they were deputy sheriffs. He was in bed with a man. They were pointing guns at him. Christ! All his teenage fears came back to haunt him. It wasn't like they could hide what they'd done. The room stank of sex.

"Mark, wake up," he hissed.

"Don't have to get up early, baby. We can sleep in."

Without opening his eyes, Mark rolled over and put his head on Walker's chest.

"Mark, wake the fuck up!"

Walker pushed Mark off who grumbled and cracked open his eyes. He stiffened at the sight of the deputies and sat up slowly.

"What the hell, Barratt? What time is it? How did you get in? Did you damage my door?"

Barratt, who turned out to be the younger, stockier cop, bit his lip and looked embarrassed. "It’s four-thirty. I know where you keep your spare key. Sorry, Mark, but your…uh…friend…has got to come with us."

"Why?" Mark demanded.

Walker wanted to know that too.

"He's being arrested on suspicion of stealing gas."

“That’s ridiculous,” Mark said, looking sleepy and furious.

"I never stole any gas," Walker snapped. "I got a rental from the airport. I had a full tank. I wouldn't need to pump gas to get here."

"Your rental was seen leaving the gas station at the same time the gas was stolen."

"I bought coffee and snacks. The wrappers are in the car, and the receipt is in my wallet."

"You still could have stolen gas," Barratt insisted.

"How, if he had a full tank?" Mark demanded.

That seemed to throw the deputies for a moment.

Then Barrett said. "You've still got to come with us so we can check your story."

"Have you even looked at the CCTV?" Mark asked in exasperation.

"Not yet." The older, grizzled cop spoke for the first time. "We'll do that back at the office.”

"So you don't even know he did it."

"The clerk witnessed the robbery," Barratt said.

"In the meantime, he's filled his old truck with gas and pinned it on the nearest sucker," Mark snapped.

Walker looked at him. "What?"

Mark shrugged. "It's not the first time it's happened."

"Mr. Walker still has to come with us," Barrett said.

Walker didn't want any trouble. "Okay. Can I get dressed?"

Barrett nodded and they holstered their weapons, although the older cop did hesitate when Walker got to his feet and they realized how tall he was.

"I'm gonna call Si," Mark said.

Walker looked around and realized his clothes were in the hallway. "My clothes are downstairs."

They had walked past his clothes. Walker was going to die of embarrassment.

"I'll get them," Mark said.

He slid out of bed, slipped on a pair of sweats which had been lying on the floor, and vanished out of the bedroom with a look of disgust at both cops.

Walker waited in uncomfortable silence until Mark returned. He got dressed quickly and sat down to lace up his boots.

"Can you call Jake and Mitch?" he asked Mark who nodded. "They need to know in case I'm not back for Monday. Do you need the number?"

"I've got it," Mark assured him.

The older cop looked at him. "Jake Tyler?"

"Yeah."

"And Mitch Mitchelson?"

"He's my section leader."

"You're one of them?"

"Yeah."

Walker waited for the sneer that usually happened when they discovered what team he was on. It didn't come. Instead, there was a resigned glance between the two cops.

"Call the sheriff," Barrett said to the older cop. "Tell him we've got the wrong guy. Tell him to look at the clerk."

Walker looked at Mark who grinned at him.

Barrett turned to Walker. "Show me the receipt."

Walker moved slowly and as non-threateningly as he could as he pulled his wallet out of his pants' pocket. He flipped open the wallet and pulled out a receipt which he handed to Barrett.
