Author: Piper Davenport

“Don’t be gentle.”

I buried my face in her neck and fucked her. Deep. Palming her nipples until they were rock hard, driving my cock into her and bringing her to one, then two orgasms, then sliding my hand between her legs and working her clit as I fucked her even harder.

“Wrath,” she cried out. “I can’t… oh, god!”

This time, I came with her, dragging her hands above her head and catching her scream with my mouth as I kissed her.

“Gone to shit, indeed,” she grumbled, and I couldn’t stop a chuckle.

“Stay put. Gonna get rid of the rubber.”

“Mmm.”

I headed to the bathroom and cleaned up.

Wrath settled a warm washcloth between my legs, then stretched out beside me again and pulled me over his chest. “You good?”

“You gave me no less than four mind blowing orgasms, you already know the answer to that question.”

He chuckled. “You want any chance of that not happening, you’re gonna need to wear panties to bed.”

I shuddered. “No way in hell.”

“I like that answer,” he said.

“Who’s the woman with Jekyll?” I asked as he pulled the covers around us.

“Indigo.”

“What happened to her?”

“Short story? Beat to shit by a kid tryin’ to jump into the Kings.”

I gasped. “Oh my god.”

“Yeah. They’re the ones who took Indy’s kid, Leo, and where we found the girls. It’s where Scrappy…” He trailed off, dragging a hand over his face.

I kissed his chest. “We don’t need to talk about it.”

“Thanks.”

“She’s permanent, then.”

“Yeah. She’s permanent.”

“That’s good,” I said. “He needs that.”

“Yeah.”

“Now, we just need to find Scooby his forever happy.”

Wrath frowned. “Fuck Scooby. I’m more concerned about our forever happy.”

“Wrath, we can’t have a forever happy.”

“Why the fuck not?”

“Because eventually you’ll figure out I’m—”

“Shut up,” he growled, rolling me onto my back. “Shut the fuck up.”

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

“Look at me.”

I ignored him.

“Moonbeam, look at me.”

I met his eyes.

“You and I are gonna have our forever, got it?” he growled as he ran a finger over my forehead. “The second we rewire the effects of all the fucked-up shit that happened in here, you’ll see.”

“You sound so certain,” I breathed out.

“That’s because I am.”

“Booth, I have secrets. I’ve also seen my cards. It’s not good.”

“Jesus,” he hissed gripping my chin. “You need to quit with the fuckin’ tarot. It’s bullshit.”

“The cards are always right,” I argued.

“Well, I’m gonna show you they’re a fuckin’ lie.”

I rolled my eyes. “We’ll see.”

He smiled.

“Why are you smiling?” I demanded.

“Because that’s the first fuckin’ time you haven’t argued with me on changin’ your mind.”

I wrinkled my nose. “I’m tired and in an orgasm haze.”

He ran his nose against mine. “If that’s all it takes, plan to be tired and in orgasm hazes for the rest of your life.”

“If we’re going to try to make this work, we need to keep it quiet.”

“Baby, we’re already the worst kept secret.”

“Please, Wrath,” I begged. “Just keep it between these walls.”

“You gonna tell me why you’re so fuckin’ freaked?”

“One day,” I lied.

He sighed. “Let’s go back to sleep.”

I nodded, snuggling closer, trying to crawl inside of him. He was the only one who could keep my demons at bay, even if it was temporary.

I awoke to an empty bed, grabbing Wrath’s pillow and pulling it close as I forced myself to wake up. I honestly didn’t want to get out of bed. Here was a fantasy. Here was safe.

I stretched, finally throwing the covers off and padding to my own room where I took a quick shower and dressed.

Heading downstairs, I passed Sundance’s office on the way to the kitchen and heard him call my name, so I backtracked, peeking my head inside. He was sitting behind his desk, but he closed his laptop and stood waving me in.

“Hey, sweetheart. Come in.”

I smiled, stepping inside. “Hi.”

“Your flight okay?”

“Yeah. Thank you so much for letting me stay.”

“You’re family, honey,” he said. “You’re always welcome.”

I bit my lip. “Are you doing okay?”

“Workin’ through it.”

“I have some crystals that’ll help,” I offered. “And I could burn some sage in here to cancel out negative energy. Also, the feng shui in here is all wrong,” I continued. “You need more metal to bring focus. We could also move a few things around in order to—”

“Sierra,” Wrath ground out from Sundance’s door. “Remember when we talked about Sundance’s office…?”

I wrinkled my nose. “That it’s off limits.”

“You already had this conversation?” Sundance mused.

“That was ages ago,” I rebutted. “Times have changed.”

Sundance smirked.

“Come with me, Moonbeam,” Wrath said.

“Are you taking me to coffee?” I challenged.

“Yes,” Wrath confirmed. “And bacon.”

“Oh,” I squeaked, turning back to Sundance. “Sorry, big man, there’s bacon. I’ll have to cleanse your office another time.”

“Okay, sweetheart.” He laughed. “See ya later.”

Wrath waited for me to step out of the office before closing the door and giving me a smack on my butt.

“Hey!”

He slid an arm around my waist and squeezed. “’Mornin’, Moonbeam.”

“You can’t start with the foreplay if you’re not gonna follow it up,” I whispered.

He grinned.

“Now, pretend you don’t want to fuck me and find me that bacon.”

He frowned. “You said these four walls.”

“Bedroom walls,” I clarified.

“That’s bullshit,” he hissed as we walked into the kitchen.

The second I stepped into the room, I was engulfed by giant biker arms as Scooby pulled me against his body in a bear hug, burying his face in my hair. “I can’t believe you’re here.”

Scooby had become one of my closest friends. Close like a brother and I would do anything for him. I hadn’t gotten as close to Scrappy, only because we hadn’t spent as much time together, but he was funny and sweet, and his loss would be felt forever.

I slid my arms up Scooby’s back. “I’m so, so sorry, buddy.”
