Slowly, he’s descending my body and peppering it with kisses. He tongues my nipple through the fabric of my bathing suit until it’s hard enough to see. “I’m a husband who’s insatiable. No chance in hell I’m going to wait to fuck you with my tongue.”
“God.” I arch up into him. He has a way with words that sets fire in my belly. “But this isn’t the office. This isn’t any of those things.”
“Later,” he says, peeling my bottoms down my thighs, “I’ll order you into that room with a desk and take your mouth the way it deserves to be taken.”
I can’t respond because his mouth is on me now, and I dissolve into pure pleasure.
Malcolm really has made this his favorite thing to do, and he’s learned the way every little flick of his tongue and teeth and lips make me squirm and writhe and come. Being loved by him isn’t something that I’ll ever get tired of. And alone on this beach, he takes his time. He makes me shake and moan and fall into ecstasy more than once.
When he’s finished, he crawls up my body, tangling us together so that we’re side by side.
“Your turn.”
“I can wait,” he says, kissing my forehead. “I just want to hold you now.”
I relax into the warmth of his arms and skin. Never in my life could I have imagined ending up here. With him. Maybe we were always on a collision course toward each other. But it’s terrifying how close we came to not knowing each other. If I’d never met Malcolm, I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be this happy. I would be lost. I might not still be living in L.A..
“What are you thinking?” he asks quietly.
Resting my cheek on his chest, I curl in tighter. “That I love you. And that I’m grateful that we were thrown together. How my life would be so different without you.”
“I don’t want to imagine that.”
“Me either.”
Malcolm reaches down and weaves our fingers together, touching my wedding ring in the process. He does that sometimes. Like he can’t believe that I’m real.
“I love you,” he whispers into my hair.
“Love you.”
For a while we just rest, adrift together. I wish I could exist forever in this moment. But as long as I’m with him forever, I’ll always be happy in the now.
