Regular sex with Timber? That’s more than I ever could have hoped for. His shoulders tense as he waits for my answer. Is he nervous?

“I’m interested,” I say.

His shoulders relax. “Very well. I have a two-week break between films at the beginning of March. Would that work for you?”

The beginning of March is only a few weeks away.

“Yes. That works for me.”

He takes a sip of his tea. “It might be nice to travel somewhere together our first time. That way we can get to know each other outside of the bedroom. Go sightseeing. Enjoy some meals together. Given the nature of the vulnerability you’re likely to feel, I think it might be grounding for you.”

Timber wants to go on a vacation with me? That seems an awful lot like something you’d do with a boyfriend or mate. I like the idea of it more than I should.

“Okay. Do you have any destinations in mind?” I ask.

“I’m not picky.” He sets down his tea cup and grabs for one of the sandwiches. “If possible, it would be nice to stay in a hotel with a gym.”

Of course. It’s probably part of his job to be muscular.

“Okay.”

Timber downs half of his sandwich in one bite. In one of his interviews, he said it’s difficult for him to avoid eating like he’s still in the breeding pits even after all these years. He glances down at the half-eaten sandwich, and his jaw clenches. He quickly chews and swallows, setting the other half of the sandwich down on the table.

“I should be going.” He stands.

I stand as well. “Thank you for coming, uh, Sir.”

There’s that lip twitch again. “You can call me Daddy now.”

I’m not sure I can. We don’t know each other yet.

“Until next time,” he says. He doesn’t call me baby boy. Maybe he needs more time too. He leans forward and gives me a light kiss on the cheek. My skin burns under the gentle brush of his lips.

“Next time,” I whisper as he walks away.

Three weeks later…

I meet Andrew at the airport. He’s waiting like a lost puppy by the boarding line. His eyes scan the crowd with a desperation that makes me realize I should have texted him when I arrived. I’m not late, but I’m not early either. Andrew strikes me as the kind of man who’s always on time. Today he traded out his suit for designer jeans and a black T-shirt that’s clearly intended to be casual but paired with a sleek pair of matching boots and a large, silver watch, comes off as formal anyway.

Clearly, Andrew spent a lot of time deciding what he’d wear today. I hope our time together over the next few days will help him relax around me.

When he finally sees me, his whole body tenses.

“Good morning,” I say.

He glances at the carry-on I have slung over my shoulder. It’s packed to the brim. “Good morning. Did you bring… stuff to play with or something?” His Adam’s apple bobs up and down.

“Not this weekend. I don’t like to check baggage when I travel, so I put everything in a carry-on.”

He looks down at his slim laptop bag. “Oh, I checked a few bags. I didn’t realize—”

I slide my hand along the small of his back. He looks up at me with wide eyes. I hold back a chuckle. He wants me to tie him up, but he can’t handle my hand on his back. Part of me aches for Andrew. Will he ever know what it’s like to have an alpha casually touch him like this unless he’s paying for it? While I’m sure I’ll enjoy our time together, it isn’t a replacement for a real relationship.

“Is this alright?” I ask.

He nods rapidly. “Sorry. I didn’t mean—”

I lower my head to whisper in his ear. “This weekend is all about getting comfortable with each other. You can relax.”

His body softens. He’s so responsive to my commands, so ready to obey. It’s going to be hard to not spend the entire weekend in bed with him.

“Has anyone ever told you that you’re a very attractive man?” I ask.

He gnaws on his lip, tension gathering in his shoulders again. That’s the opposite of what I hoped would happen. Most of the men who want to call me Daddy enjoy being praised.

A wave of pure pheromones rush at me, and the very distinct smell of slick fills my nose.

“I’m sorry,” Andrew whispers. “I didn’t mean to...”

All I had to do was compliment him, and he’s ready to bend over for me. My arm instinctively pulls him in a little closer. He’s completely at my mercy in this moment, and he doesn’t even know me. I could be a horrible man, and he wouldn’t be able to resist me.

Who is going to take care of this vulnerable, beautiful man? He can’t be left to deal with his bond ache on his own.

“Don’t worry. I’ll give you some relief when we get to the hotel.” I promise. Just a quick hand job to take off the edge until we can get to know each other better.

“You don’t have to,” he says. “I can wait—”

I slip my fingers underneath the fabric of his shirt to thumb his bare back. “Shhhh, baby boy. I’m going to take care of you. Just relax.”

The man in the line next to us jerks his head to stare. I’m a well-known porn star, so I stopped worrying about strangers looking at me a long time ago. Andrew leans into me, his arm brushing against my side.

“Thank you, Daddy,” he whispers, but not quietly enough to prevent the man from hearing. The heady smell of his slick flares again.

Andrew obviously doesn’t mind if people hear me calling him baby boy. He even gets off on it.

I guide him forward to the boarding lane for first-class passengers. I look into his eyes as I hand the flight attendant my ticket. He stares back at me with hope. It’s obvious how badly he wants this—not just the sex but a connection with someone.

He gives the flight attendant his ticket. She scans it and tells us to have a good flight. As we walk onto the jetway, I ease my finger under the waistband of his jeans to tease his soft skin.

He shivers.

The sharp scent of his arousal becomes stronger. I wonder what his slick will taste like, how he’ll feel loosening under my tongue. Normally, I have a fair amount of control over my body. It’s an important part of my job. But just the idea of Andrew writhing underneath me makes me want to attempt a membership in the mile-high club.

Well, if I didn’t have one already.

Andrew and I take our seats near the front of the plane in the first-class section. I lift the armrest wedged between us and wrap an arm around him. He gives me a timid smile, then rests his head on my shoulder.

“This is nice,” he says softly.

Yes, it is.

Andrew falls asleep before the plane lifts off.

I sleep better than I have in months. Lately, the bond ache has become so unbearable, I feel restless in bed. But Timber’s shoulder is firm, and his arm is sure. I don’t wake until I hear the snap of the overhead bins opening.

Are we already in Rixton? It was supposed to be a four-hour flight.
