525 Cherry Blossom Ln. (Cherry Falls #21)(17)
Author: Jordan Marie

“I could get used to you in my bed every morning, Jodie Jones,” he says, continuing to kiss along my neck.

“I have to admit, I like the way this morning is going more than the last time,” I giggle.

He groans against my neck, the sound muffled, his hot breath sending shivers of pleasure through my body.

“I fucked up so bad.”

“Maybe a little, but we were on different pages, and somehow we’re still here, so that can’t be a bad thing,” I reason.

“We’re still here,” he repeats.

“You know, if you got carried away last night, I don’t want you to think that I—”

“You’re mine, baby. I’m not sharing you, and I wouldn’t expect you to either. I don’t want that kind of relationship with you.” I don’t answer and he stares at me. “What are you smiling at?” he questions. “I’m being serious here.”

“I know, I’m just happy, so I don’t really know what to say.”

“You can say that you love me and we’re going to make this work.”

“Isn’t it a little too soon for love?” I ask, knowing I do love him, but also knowing that I’m not the kind of girl to jump in without testing the waters around me.

“I’ll prove to you it’s not. Just give me time, Jodie girl. Just give me time,” he purrs, his hand sliding down between my legs.

“Now that I can do,” I purr, opening myself up to him, as I reach down to wrap my hand around his already hard cock.

“You’re not acting very virginal,” he groans, as I position him at my entrance. I’m already wet and ready for him, I don’t want to wait.

His hand moves from working me, to slide over mine. Together, we hold his cock right before he slides into me. Then, our joined hands come up and he presses them against the mattress as he begins to ride me.

“That’s because I’m a victim of the virgin slayer,” I murmur, our bodies already beginning to move together.

“Shut up and kiss me, Jodie girl,” he growls, and I do as he tells me because God knows I want his kiss more than I want my next breath.

Linc and I might have started off rocky and very unorthodox, but I know in my heart this is right. I love him… and eventually… I’ll even tell him that.

One Year Later

“You’re quiet. What are you thinking?”

I look up at Jodie and she’s standing by the door in one of my shirts, her dark hair down and gleaming because she’s been brushing it. My heart squeezes in my chest. She’s beautiful. I never dreamed how much my life would change in one short year, but it has and all for the better. Jodie and I have been living together in my apartment. Her parents aren’t happy about it, but that doesn’t seem to bother Jodie. They push us constantly to get married, but for whatever reason we haven’t. For me a piece of paper doesn’t equal a commitment and Jodie doesn’t seem in a big hurry either. I’m used to living in a world where you claim your woman and I’ve definitely claimed Jodie. The way she’s looking at me, smiling as if I’m everything she wants, makes me feel pretty fucking claimed, too.

And I like it.

“I just spoke to Crusher again,” I tell her, and she walks over to me. I’ve told her how Crusher and Dani took me under their wing, and we drove to Tennessee for a week a few months ago. I was worried, I can’t lie. Jodie is not by the rules like I first thought, she loves coloring outside the lines, but I worried club life would be a little hard for her to adapt too.

I worried for nothing.

Jodie slides into my lap, kisses my forehead as I squeeze her, and curls into me.

“Is he still trying to talk you into going to North Carolina to help Hayden’s man?”

“Beast, yeah.”

“I don’t get that name. He seems like such a happy guy,” she mutters, making me smile. “Some of those road names are just strange, like Fury? I mean, seriously Linc, he was rolling around the floor letting kids climb all over him.”

“You saw them with their families, Jodie. Trust me, if someone hurts someone they care about you will see a whole different side.”

“I guess,” she yawns. “Are you thinking of going to North Carolina?”

“Do you want kids, Jodie?”

Her body goes stiff in my arms and she looks at me with shock.

“Do you want kids?”

“Yeah, I mean, it doesn’t have to be right away, but I’d like them.”

“Well, I’m on the pill because of my periods, but yeah, I’d like them, too… eventually,” she whispers, smiling at me with so much happiness that I swear her face actually glows.

“I’m not sure I want to raise them here in Cherry Falls, though. I think kids should have family around them. I never had that kind of life and I wanted different for my children.”

“I…”

“I know what you’re thinking, and your parents are good people, I’m not saying that, but they’re not exactly filled with love and happiness.”

“I guess I never noticed it that much until I moved out, but you’re right. They probably wouldn’t want to have anything to do with a grandchild until he or she was old enough to occupy themselves.”

“Exactly,” I respond, giving her body a squeeze.

“You think it would be different in North Carolina?”

“I think so. I can only go by the couple of men we met, but I think it would be a family atmosphere similar to what Diesel’s club is. I don’t know a lot of the members of the Devil’s Blaze, but the ones I’ve met have been good men.”

“It sounds like you’ve thought this out,” she whispers.

“I have. I need to know how you feel about it, though. If you don’t want to leave Cherry Falls, that’s fine with me, more than fine. All I really need to be happy is you, Jodie girl.”

“I’m not sure, and I don’t want you to get mad at me, but, I mean, I’m just now getting used to being with a surfer dude that squirrels flirt with constantly—”

“Bunnies,” I laugh, but I know she knows. It’s a running joke between us—one I think she enjoys a little too much.

“Whatever,” she says with a smirk. “I honestly couldn’t tell you how I’d feel about being part of the biker world. I loved Hayden and some of the other women, but it’s a way different lifestyle than any I envisioned for myself.”

“I’ll tell him no,” I reassure her, giving her a squeeze and kissing her.

“I don’t want you to do that either.”

I frown, the crease in my forehead deepening as I try to figure out what she’s talking about.

“Then, what do you want, Jodie?”

“What if we tried it out?”

“Tried it out?” I laugh.

“Yep. We go there for six months. If we hate it, we can move to the beach and become surfer dude with his hot as hell girlfriend. North Carolina has beaches right?”

“Yeah, baby,” I laugh. “They have beaches.”
