Tangled Sheets(4)
Author: J.L. Beck

Unable to get up with my limbs not working, I stay on his lap, basking in post-orgasmic bliss. With his dick still inside of me, not giving a fuck if I’m making a mess all over him.

“I have to tell you, I’ve ridden this elevator plenty of times, but I’ve never had someone ride me in it,” he murmurs close to my ear, and I roll my eyes at him even though I know he can’t see me. I try to come up with a witty remark, but my endorphin-flooded brain hasn’t fully recovered yet.

When I catch myself falling asleep, I straighten up. I can’t go to sleep like this with his dick still inside of me. I try to make my legs move, but those suckers are already asleep. With my hands already on his shoulders, I’m about to push myself up when suddenly the light flickers on.

I squeeze my eyes shut, blinded by the bright overhead light. It takes me a minute before I’m able to keep my eyes open. When I do, his eyes lock with mine, his face only inches away.

“You’re even hotter after you orgasm.” He grins at me. Just then, the elevator moves again, and before I realize what’s happening, it stops, the door sliding open. Ding.

I look into the empty parking garage for a few seconds before I push myself up. Standing on shaky knees, I rearrange my clothes while trying to look everywhere but at the man I just had sex with. But when he steps right in front of me, I have no choice but to look. With his hair messed up and his shirt wrinkled, he looks thoroughly fucked.

“Anna,” he says, handing me my purse and coat.

“Paul.” I take them from him.

“That was one hell of an elevator ride.” He snickers.

I push past him and find my car like my ass is on fire. Struggling with the key fob, I get the door open and fall into the seat. Only then do I let myself breathe for a moment. God, that was so fucking amazing. It’s going to take weeks to get this Paul out of my system.

Starting the engine, I back out of my parking spot and make my way out of the garage. Ross is going to lose his shit when I tell him about this. Maybe I shouldn’t, knowing he is going to pull every little detail from my brain if I tell him.

I try to shove thoughts of Ross and Paul down and get my mind thinking about the new project again. Instead, I spend the entire way home with Paul’s words ringing in my ear.

“That was one hell of an elevator ride.”

Yes. Yes, it was.

Nicholas

Big blue eyes the color of the ocean after a thunderstorm, plump pink lips that taste like ripe strawberries, smooth skin as if carved from the finest porcelain… and her scent, like wildflowers on the hottest day of the year. That’s all I can smell, taste, and see when I close my eyes.

“Nick, are you even listening?” I glance up from the notepad I’ve been scribbling random shapes on.

Unfortunately, not quick enough to dodge the balled-up piece of paper my brother threw at my face. It bounces off my forehead and lands on the desk in front of me.

“Very mature,” I mutter, wiping the paper off my notepad.

“What’s going on with you?” William asks, still grinning from ear to ear. “You’re not acting like yourself today.”

What’s going on with me?

I had the best lay of my life last night, that’s what’s going on. But I don’t speak the words out loud. Being with Anna in that elevator was the hottest thing I’d ever done, but there’s always a chance she could work for Brooks, and I can’t let an office one-night stand be noticed.

Everything about it is almost too hard to believe. Seems more like a scene played out in some cheap porn, not in real life, and definitely not in my life.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of sexual encounters with women. The difference though is that normally, I plan them. I’m not the spontaneous type. You could say I’m more of a planner, the type of guy that likes to maintain control and do things when he wants to do them. This was definitely not on my schedule.

I can still remember how we felt together, how tight, and perfectly, our bodies molded into one. Her warm heat surrounded me, strangled the orgasm right from my balls.

Shit, I didn’t even use a condom.

Yes, definitely not like me, and still, it felt like the most natural thing.

“Nothing is wrong,” I quip, pushing the memories from my mind.

William gives me a disbelieving look. “Dad sent you here to help me get this project going, but you really haven’t said a word today. Which is odd because usually you can’t wait for an opportunity to tell me what to do and how to do it. So, I’d say something is wrong.”

He isn’t wrong about that.

Our father sent me to the Boston branch to help my brother out on our newest project, not that he really needs it. He’s more than capable. I’m simply more efficient at it. I’ll get the job done faster, and at less cost than my brother.

Staring down at the notepad, I’m shocked at what I’m about to say, and yet there isn’t a single other option out there. I am just not with it today.

“I’m feeling a little under the weather,” I lie through my teeth. “I think I’ll take the rest of the day off.”

I swear to God, William almost falls out of his chair and onto the floor. “Seriously? Nicholas Brooks, CEO of Brooks Enterprise New York, is taking a day off?”

His dark gaze widens, and I can see the questions swirling in their depths. There is real concern etched into his features, and to be fair I can understand why. I normally don’t take days off. I’m what you would call a workaholic. I’m married to my job.

This is a whole new me, and all because of a mystery woman that I can’t seem to shake off. I can’t let this affect me. I’ll take the day to reminisce, to think about her sweet pussy and the way she sucked my fingers, but after I’ll forget her like I do all the others.

“What about the announcement in the morning? Are you going to be back for that?”

He looks a little nervous, as if he needs me here for it. No wonder Father sent me here to take care of this and make sure everything went smoothly.

“Yes, I’ll be back for that,” I tell him while getting up from my chair, buttoning up my suit jacket. He mirrors my actions, standing with me.

“Okay. You want me to drive you to your place?”

“No, I’ll manage.” I wave him off and head out. Stopping at the door, I look at him over my shoulder. “Oh, and one more thing, tell maintenance to check out the elevator. I got stuck in it last night on my way out.”

He gives me a knowing look, and before he can ask any more questions, I turn around and walk out of my little brother’s office. Knowing William, he’ll guess what happened, and I can’t let anyone know about Anna.

I need to get this chick out of my head. Anna, or at least that’s what she called herself. Part of me wonders if she lied like I did. I wouldn’t blame her, but there’s a part of me that wishes she gave me more. Not that I’m going to track her down or anything.

Passing the elevator on purpose, I head down the staircase instead. I’d rather walk the ten flights of stairs than be in that thing again. I don’t want to be stuck, neither do I need a reminder of last night. I bet it still smells of sex and her sweet scent.
