Cowboy Daddy(5)
Author: Daisy March

He made it to eighty-six before she opened the door. “Well?” she said. “What do you think?”

He took in the pleated skirt, the knee-high socks, the Mary Jane shoes with gold buckles, the bright pink tee-shirt with the smiling kitten on the front. “You look perfect,” he said, holding a hand out toward her. “Now come downstairs with me.”

She took his hand. He led the way downstairs, not looking back. Could she tell how hard she was making him? How he was already imagining her misbehaving?

He led her along the hall to the dining room. Two place settings were laid out. By hers a typed sheet of paper had been placed on the table, pen positioned over the top of it.

“Read that,” Marcus said, “then sign at the bottom.”

Alison

Alison ran her eyes down the sheet of paper. “What am I signing, exactly?”

“It’s pretty simple,” Marcus replied, slipping into his chair. “It’s a fairly standard NDA.”

“What’s an NDA?”

“Non disclosure agreement. You agree not to tell anyone about what happens during your stay and we don’t tell anyone either.”

“Why do you need me to sign this? What are you going to do to me?”

“Haven’t the clothes given it away? The list of rules? Holly on the verandah when you arrived?”

She shook her head, knowing what she thought might be the case but not daring to say it out loud. She felt like this was a dream.

If she vocalized what she was thinking, the spell would be shattered and she’d wake up at home in bed, the whole thing fading away to nothing.

Marcus took the lid of the pen, sliding it toward her hand. “Walker Ranch was set up to provide a safe space for people to indulge in the DDLG lifestyle.”

“The what?”

“DDLG. Littles and Daddies. We have other guests too but most people who book a stay here do it because they want to enjoy a break away from their ordinary lives. Become Littles and Daddies.”

“What are you telling me?”

“Ever wanted to act younger than you are? Ever wanted a night of candy and movies and forgetting about your worries.”

“Maybe. So what?”

“Here you can be that person. You can be the age you want to be. You can play however you want to in a safe space with no judgment at all.”

“A safe space? I seem to recall reading a lot about punishments upstairs. That doesn’t sound very safe to me.”

“A safe place needs rules and boundaries. Not much point to that if there are no consequences for breaking the rules or pushing the boundaries. If a Little breaks the rules, her Daddy punishes her. It comes from a place of love and caring, not violence.”

She looked down at the contract and then up at him. Could it really be true? “What’s a Little?” she asked, pretending not to know.

“You,” he replied. “You’re one.”

“And you’re a Daddy, I’m guessing.”

“Exactly.”

Her throat suddenly felt dry. It had to be a dream. She couldn’t be this lucky. She picked up the pen, hovering over the dotted line. “What happens if I don’t sign?”

“You’ll have to leave. This is a safe space and it only remains safe if what happens here remains confidential. Sign and there are legal consequences for you speaking outside here about your stay.

“Don’t sign and your car is up and running. You can go straight home and forget all about this place. Go back to your ordinary life.”

“What about Holly getting spanked. That wasn’t exactly private?”

“Not visible from anywhere outside the ranch. Once you come through the gates, you’re in our world. No one outside sees in here without our permission.”

“Apart from a thief.”

“That is being dealt with. Now are you signing or going?”

She thought about leaving. Go stay in a hotel until she was allowed home again. Try and forget about Marcus. About the fact he was a real live Daddy like in the books she read. “And if I sign?” she asked, her hand starting to shake with anticipation.

“You become my Little for the duration of your stay. You obey the rules and relax. Enjoy yourself”

She looked down at the paper. “So I’m just agreeing not to talk about what happens here, right? If I sign this?”

He nodded. “Sign and then we can have supper. It’s getting late and little girls need baths before bed. Or put the pen down and leave.” He pointed at the paper. “Up to you.”

She thought for another moment. She didn’t have to admit she’d thought about being a Little before. She could just pretend this was a new experience, something different to try.

She didn’t have to admit she had played out this role in private in her bedroom at home. No one needed to know that.

“Fill in those sections there and then sign at the end,” Marcus said, his voice like gravel. “Make sure to write what you want your safe word to be.”

“Safe word?”

“Your get out clause is something goes too far. Some guests have a traffic light system but you’re only here for the weekend so a safe word should be enough. Pick something that’s unique to you.”

She did as he said, signing her name, dotting the I in Alison with a little heart like she always did.

With that done, she put the pen down. It suddenly felt very heavy. “There,” she said as Marcus took the paper from her. “Now what?”

“Now we eat,” he said, picking up a bell from the cabinet beside the table, shaking it roughly before setting it back down.

The door at the back of the room opened a moment later. Jack and Holly walked in, carrying trays of food.

Alison looked down at the mountain of meat and vegetables placed in front of her. “That’s way too much,” she said. “It’s nearly midnight. I can’t eat that much.”

“You’ll be working hard tomorrow,” Marcus said, picking up his fork and already digging in. “You’ll need the energy.”

“Working? What do you mean working?”

“Eat.”

“I can’t eat that much. I won’t sleep for hours.”

“I won’t tell you again, Alison.”

She saw the way he was looking at her and something inside her melted. That firmness in his voice combined with the way he was sitting bolt upright did things to her that sent shooting tingles through her whole body.

She picked up the fork and speared a roast potato.

“This is Holly,” Marcus said as his companions joined them at the table. “She’ll be your playmate while you stay, teach you the ropes.”

“Hi,” Holly said with a beaming smile. “We’ll be best of friends.”

“Gee, thanks,” Alison replied. She tried to eat. It wasn’t easy. She pushed her plate away a minute later. “Listen, it’s nice of you to cook for me and everything but I can’t eat any more. It’s too much.”

“What did the rules say?” Marcus asked, picking up his glass of beer, draining it in one gulp.

“I don’t know. There were like a million of them.”
