Hummingbird and Kraken(7)
Author: Reese Morrison

This couldn’t possibly be happening.

There was no way that Declan was leaning into his touch, letting Geir’s firm tentacles reach around his back and pull him in closer.

No way that Declan was looking up at him, giving him that same seductive look that he’d given him beside the lunch table, but now with all of his secrets spilled out between them.

No way that Declan was tilting his head up toward him, begging to be kissed.

And then Declan was pressing their lips together, a whimper spilling out.

Geir couldn’t deny what he wanted any more. Declan tasted like sunshine.

Chapter 5

Declan

Declan felt daring, tilting his head up and then pressing their lips together. Geir had been angry, and then shy, but he was sure now that Geir was feeling the same chemistry that he was.

Geir’s kiss was slow and gentle at first, an introduction almost, as they got to know each other. Their breaths mingled and Geir licked at the corners of his lips, sending waves of pleasure through his core.

Geir slowly wrapped his arms around him, then followed with the other tentacle. Even just those four points of contact, two warm hands and two cool, velvety appendages, were already sending him into overload. He couldn’t even imagine what it would be like if Geir used his other however many arms. He’d probably combust on the spot.

Declan slid his own arms around Geir’s back, trusting that Geir would keep him from drowning if he stopped treading water. They were pressed so closely together now, chest to chest, Declan’s legs bumping against the gently floating arms of Geir’s lower half.

Declan ran his hands lower, lower, until he found the place where Geir’s skin changed from solid, human skin to the slippery, tender skin of his octopus half. Squid? Cuttlefish? He ran his hands along them, the slime clinging to his fingers.

Geir pulled back but didn’t let him go. “We should stop. This isn’t… I’m sorry. This is probably disgusting.”

Declan laughed, feeling exhilarated. “Are you kidding? This is like… totally a fantasy. Haven’t you ever seen tentacle hentai?”

“No.”

“It’s, like, porn, but in animated movies and graphic novels from Japan. And tentacles are a big thing. It’s totally hot.”

“I don’t understand.”

Declan leaned closer. He didn’t want Geir to stop because this was, hands down, the sexiest thing that had ever happened to him. Adventure and erotica all wrapped into one.

But mostly he was thinking about that wary, hurt look in Geir’s eyes. Declan had worn that look often enough himself, not knowing if he was good enough for more than a fuck, certain that no one could really want him. Whatever made Declan unworthy was all on the inside, but Geir’s fear was right here, in a tangle of thrilling limbs that waved around Declan’s legs.

He wanted Geir to know that he was desirable. That he didn’t have to hide.

He breathed into his ear. “I’ve been wanting you since I walked down the road and saw you scowling at me. You were so strong and controlling and gruff, and it made me want to get down on my knees for you.”

He felt Geir’s breathing increase, the little puffs of air shivering across his cheek.

“You were so stern and commanding, and I’ve been imagining all day how you might bend me over some piece of furniture and claim me.”

Geir’s hands tightened on his back.

“You’re exactly my type. I liked imagining that you might tie me up and have your way with me.”

A silken tentacle wrapped around his waist, securing him in place. Fuck, yeah.

“And then...” He licked along the shell of Geir’s ear and suckled on his lobe. “I found out that you can give me even more.”

Declan took a little nibble, feeling Geir shiver. “I love watching scenes like this. In the tentacle movies, sometimes it’s a sea creature and sometimes it’s a robot. But the human is always helpless. Overpowered by the tentacles and unable to move.”

“And you want that?” Geir asked, his voice a breathy rumble.

“Oh, God, yes. And after the human’s been captured, he’s overwhelmed. Touched everywhere, in so many places that he can’t even think. And usually the human is… penetrated.”

Declan didn’t want to go too far in suggesting that. It might actually be disgusting to Geir, not just something he was worried Declan wouldn’t like or would judge him for.

“How does that… work?”

Questions were good. Very good. He let out an intentional low moan before he answered. “It depends on the movie. But usually, there are tentacles… everywhere. In any opening. Or all of them at once.”

“And people really want that?” He sounded incredulous.

“Geir…” He leaned back to catch his eyes. “If people knew you were real, there would be a line out your door. I’m just lucky that I found you first.” He bent in closer, licking up the column of Geir’s neck and mouthing at his other ear. “More importantly, I want that. I want to be at your mercy. I want you to hurt me and take care of me and own me.”

Geir stilled for a moment. Declan worried that he had gone too far. He hadn’t meant to blurt out that last part. Even stopping at the part about hurting him might have been too much. Because he was always too much, and he’d gotten wrapped up in a fantasy again.

Geir wasn’t pulling away, though, just waiting. Soft touches pressed against Declan’s legs, as though the silky limbs were curious and had a mind of their own. And how hot was that?

He was getting the sense that when new ideas were presented, Geir needed that time to think. Declan usually moved and thought at a hundred miles per hour, but with Geir he’d need to slow down a bit. It wasn’t difficult to exercise his patience, though, when the outcome was worth it.

Since Geir hadn’t pushed him off yet, he kissed along his shoulder, trying not to hurry him but appreciating the taste of his skin. It was fresh and a little tangy from the lake. It reminded him that this wasn’t a dream. He licked along Geir’s neck.

“Oh, and I should explain safe words. Um, if I say red or tap you twice like this,” he demonstrated, “that means something is wrong and I need you to stop. Otherwise, you’re in control.”

“If you say red, or you tap twice, I’m supposed to stop,” Geir repeated carefully.

Declan nodded. “Does that work for you?”

Geir nodded. “Yes. That’s better. But otherwise I’m in control?”

“Please, yes.”

“And you want to be…” Geir’s eyes were stormy and wild, like he was barely holding back.

“Bound. Penetrated. Overwhelmed.”

Then, it all changed in a rush. Slimy-smooth appendages circled around his legs while Geir’s human hands brushed down his arms and then thrust them behind his back. Another appendage circled around his wrists, and more slithered over his body.

Declan strained against the bonds, delighting in the feeling of being restrained. Geir only tightened his hold.

“So good,” Declan murmured. “Just like that.” He wanted Geir to know how much he needed this.

The sensation of Geir’s limbs was like nothing he’d ever experienced. His skin was impossibly, decadently soft. It was smooth like satin but with ropey muscles underneath.
