Wed to the Mob : An Obsessed Alpha Male Romance(4)
Author: Autumn Reign

I jolted and shook my head. “It’s okay. I’m sure it costs a hell of a lot though.”

“Let me worry about that. Come on.”

When I hesitated, Piero gave an exasperated sigh and grabbed my hand. My heart sped up as his strong, warm grip enveloped mine. I stared down at his hand for a minute and then quickly followed along so I wouldn’t get dragged into the store. Once we were inside, he immediately called a girl over.

“She needs a whole new wardrobe from top to bottom. Take her measurements, and then put together some options for her.” Piero glanced in the window. “And she’d like to try on that dress.”

The woman smiled, and I could practically see the dollar signs in her eyes. “Right away, sir. I’ll get it for you.”

“You didn’t have to do that,” I mumbled when she walked away. “Do I really need so much?”

“You want to make a good first impression, don’t you?” Piero sat down on a chair and relaxed. “Think of this as a bonus. When you’re done, of course you can keep all of the clothes and accessories.”

I bit my lip. All of them? I turned to a rack and ran my hand over a blue dress. When I picked up the tag, I gasped and dropped it again. Four thousand dollars! That was months of rent for me.

“Stop looking at the prices and go try that dress on.” I turned to him as he nodded toward the waiting saleswoman. “Go on, we don’t have all day.”

I sighed. “I’m going.”

There was no point in arguing with the man. When he made his mind up about something, it didn’t change. I carried the dress into the changing room and wiggled out of my clothes. The dress slipped on perfectly, but I could only get the zipper halfway up.

“Can you zip this for me?” I called through the curtain.

“Come on out and I’ll do it.”

I glanced at myself in the mirror. I really did look pretty nice in the dress. It was sleeveless and showed off quite a bit of thigh as well. Even my waist looked smaller, and my figure curvy. I ran a hand down my hips and smiled at my reflection.

“I guess I do look pretty nice.” I tucked a strand behind my ear. “Alright, here I come.”

I glanced up from my phone when Abigail finally stepped out of the dressing room. The dress hugged her in all of the right ways, accentuating her hips and making her legs look like they were a mile long. She glanced up at me, an unsure expression on her face as she slowly walked toward me and stopped.

“Um, Piero?” She tilted her head. “The zipper?”

“R-right.” I cleared my throat and forced my legs to work as I crossed over to her. My palm traveled up her back before I found the zipper and slowly pulled it into place. Standing so close to her, I could smell the sweetness of her shampoo. My cock hardened and I sucked in a deep breath. “There.” The breathless words slipped against her ear. “All done.”

Abigail glanced over her shoulder at me. “Thank you.” A soft smile played on her pink lips. “Let me see how I look.”

I released her, but it took everything in me not to pull her back and press my lips against hers. Abigail had always been attractive. Her sassy attitude only made me like her more. This, however—I’d never seen her look so dressed up and elegant. It made me want to rip the dress from her body and fuck her until she could only cling to me.

“Earth to Piero.” She waved a hand and I blinked, trying to think of anything but her, naked and squirming. “What do you think?” She twisted back and forth and then did a little turn. “Is it too much?”

I somehow managed to make my mouth work again after a moment. “It looks good.”

Abigail frowned. “Just good?” She toyed with the split and I stifled a groan when her fingers slid up to her thigh. “Maybe it’s a bit too much.”

“We’ll take it,” I told the saleswoman. I pulled out my credit card. “Get her whatever she wants and needs.”

The woman smiled up at me. “Of course!” She turned to Abigail. “Let’s get you some shoes and accessories to go with that.”

I watched the two of them walk away. A sigh slipped from my lips and I pushed my fingers through my hair. This was a problem. The last thing I needed was to be staring at Abigail and thinking about how much I wanted her.

“Piero. Piero!”

I glanced up and shook my head. “Yeah?”

Abigail had changed back into her original clothes. She raised a brow at me. I’d hoped the spell would be broken with her out of that dress, but apparently that wasn’t going to happen.

I quickly stood up and cleared my throat. "Are you finished?"

Abigail nodded. "All set. She's ringing everything up now. I took one look at the register and almost fainted."

I laughed. "I'll take care of it." I pulled out my credit card and walked up to the register with her in tow.

We paid for everything and I ended up carrying a ton of bags and boxes back to my car. I loaded everything up while Abigail tried to help. I waved her off.

"I don't need help. You go ahead and get inside."

Abigail blinked at me. "I'm not sure I've ever had a man offer to put the bags away after going shopping."

"What kind of assholes have you been dating?"

Abigail raised a brow. "This coming from you? Every time you even go out with someone they're either mean or as dumb as a brick."

"Every woman I've ever dated has been distinguished." I grinned as she laughed at me. "I'm the one controlling you getting paid. I suggest you stop laughing."

"You don't scare me." She turned on her heels.

I reached out and pulled her back. I pushed her back up against the car and she let out a little squeal. The grin on my face only grew.

"What was that sound?" I wrapped a hand around her throat and she practically melted in my gasp. "I thought you weren't scared of me?"

Abigail licked her lips. "I – I'm not scared of you." She pressed her palms against my chest. "Don’t we have things to get done?"

I released her, but the smile never left my lips. My eyes followed her every step as she shakily slipped into the car. Now that's interesting. I felt triumphant for some reason, and I knew it had a lot to do with the fact that Abigail clearly was attracted to me at that moment. Even if she didn’t say the words out loud.

I walked around the car and slipped behind the wheel. After I started up the car, I glanced over and Abigail’s cheeks were bright red. I leaned forward to turn on the radio, my arm bushing over her leg. She jolted, tensed, and let out a sound that I could swear was a little moan.

Oh, this is going to be fun.

There were no rules that said I couldn’t screw with her while also taking care of business. I tried to pretend that it was all fun and games, but deep down some part of me knew that I was attracted to Abigail. Everything from the way she walked to the way she dressed to the curve of her pink lips set me on edge. Usually, she was the one showing me that fiery side and having a laugh at my expense. It was only fair that I should get to turn the tables just a little.
